Broken garage door spring Saturday morning on a 70-year-old garage door. Happened upon Precision by chance on the internet. Read their reviews and reached out to them. They returned my call within the hour. Service was set up for Sunday morning (the next day) without additional cost being on the weekend. They gave a time frame and were there on time, with calls and texts saying they were on their way. Repairman (Ron the owner) evaluated, gave me a quote and fixed the door within 90 minutes. This is how customer service and service should be...would highly recommend.

The other day we had a spring go on our garage door. We called precision garage door. The technician that came to the house was named Z. He was very knowledgeable and efficient felt very comfortable with him in the house. I am the owner of Monroe county plumbing services. So I know what a good Technician is. The trolley that runs along the rail part of my system broke after 25+ years. I was given a same-day appointment and Sean arrived even earlier, with advance notice. The age of my system meant replacing the whole opener, which Sean was able to handle on the spot in about an hour and a half. He offered two options, explained their features, got the one I picked up and running smoothly, and explained the new system and what he had replaced - all at a reasonable price. Highly recommended; I was very happy with my experience, and will use Precision for any future garage door needs.

I really appreciated Sean's work, he laid out what he was going to do before doing it and quoted me the price for each thing even when I didn't ask for that. He was very quick to get the door fixed from an unusual issue of non-broken but weaker than expected springs. He also made sure to tell me there's a 3 year warranty on them and even left them for me as I requested.

I purchased a new door from Precision in August 2020. Door tension spring broke on 1/5/2026. Very short life span if you ask me. Technician blamed the short life span on moisture because the track had rust on the bottom. I am not sure if I agree with that. Price was more than they quoted me on the phone and $30 more than another local company. When I mentioned this, he said "why am I here...you should have gone with them". (I should have in hindsight...I went with precision because it was only supposed to cost a little more than the other company and they were the company that initially installed my door). Technician added a baring that was not on the original quote on the phone which made the price higher than expected. He said he would take that off the price which I thought he meant that he would still replace it at no cost.... nope. He just didn't replace it. If it truly needed to be replaced, he should have conveyed that to me, and I would have paid the higher price. I printed out a coupon, but it was not excepted (I didn't realize there was more than one Precision garage company) - He could have easily taken off the $25 coupon from the correct website but I had no way to print it. Due to the short lifespan of the tension spring I think I will look elsewhere.
