We had a problem with one of our garage doors not closing and thought the opener was likely the issue. Ron (the owner) came out on a Sunday and diagnosed the problem as a simple door rail adjustment. He explained how a slight rail movement could affect the door sensors, preventing the door from closing. He took care of the problem very quickly and also lubed all of the moving parts and rails. I was very impressed with the service and how he took the time to explain everything. Overall it was a great experience!

Called up Sunday morning and made an appointment for 5:00 p.m. I called several companies and they were the only one who did weekend work which was important to me as my car was trapped in the garage. Actually called and got to my house early which I appreciated. Ron did a great job, informative and indicated that I could wait a couple years to buy a new door as mine is now 27 years old. I appreciate the fact he was honest and didn't just tried to sell me something that I could defer for a couple of years. Thanks so much and I would highly recommend this firm.

I chose Precision Garage Door because I had an exceptional repair from one of their Technicians 9 ears ago to replace a spring and I never had an issue with the door since then. It is an older door with a homemade opener apparatus installed but the technician was able to work through the repair as difficult as it was at the time. We were exploring upgrading to a newer model with a new door opener but also wanted to try and make our older door secure better to the opening for now to help keep our garage more insulated until we chose a new door system. Ron, the owner of the Rochester branch, showed up today and shared his vast knowledge of garage door mechanics, materials, and options with us and how our specific application would be served better with what we agreed on as a new system rather than sink money into an abnormal application any longer. He quoted us a very fair price for a new installation. He showed up on Sunday morning on time, treated us courteously, was very personable, had a very confident and skillful approach to working through the many options to select the best application for our needs. He also did a few minor adjustments and repairs to make our existing door work smoother while we wait for the install to be completed. I recommend him and Precision Garage Door, as a result of his visit today, to anybody that requires a repair or new installation above all the rest!

We were very happy with the service we received from Precision Garage Door. We had a garage door that hasn't closed properly in years and a garage door opener that didn't work. Ron, who was both personable and professional, recommended that we try to have the garage door fixed rather than replaced which was a significantly less expensive option. Ron was able to fix the door and installed a new garage door opener. Now the door closes properly, and the garage door opener works great. Also, Ron worked around our schedule to do the service. I was recommended to call this company to replace “bumper” on bottom of 8 foot garage door. I spoke with woman and told her precisely ( detailed description) of what I needed. She assured me the service man could install what I needed and would arrive with everything needed to complete the job. Sadly however, the nice repair man who showed up ,instantly knew he could not install new bumper due to age and previous damage of the old door and within 3 minutes of arrival suggested a quote for a New door…. I am a senior on a budget and had to pay $64.80 - ( 5 minute service call)for something he could not fix which initial call with Shannon at 315 number could have/ should have told me. I’m trying to make it through another year or more with the door and feel there was a bait and switch thing going on . Sorry I’m not happy.

Ron, stop by today for a door that was not closing properly. He did some maintenance, door worked and stated the problem was the old motor. He stated if we continue to have problems he would install a new motor, left information for the motor and did not charge for the visit.
